Joy Hemler

Life Pastor

I am thrilled to again be serving on Bethel’s pastoral staff, this time as Life Pastor, a role for which I’ve received life-long training.  Bethel has been my “home” for over 30 years.  Prior to a four year assignment (2013-2017) in Belgium with my husband’s job, I was honored to be Bethel’s Children’s Pastor/Assistant Pastor.  In addition to holding ordination credentials with the Assemblies of God, I also have an MA in Family and Marriage Counseling, and a BA in Education.

Pat and I enjoy spending time with each other and with our family, traveling abroad (especially across Europe), and jogging and cycling.  I love to read (especially mysteries), try new foods, visit Christmas markets, and to encourage and invest in the lives of others.

My calling and responsibilities at Bethel  include the development and oversight of home groups and discipleship classes, pastoral counseling, and assisting the church family to “connect” with each other, and “converge” with God , so they can enjoy “complete,” victorious, abundant lives in Him.
